Education
Dr. Owens is the owner and primary physician of Apex Chiropractic. He is a New Jersey licensed and Board-Certified chiropractic physician credentialed by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD, and received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life University in Atlanta, Ga.
Work Experience/Specialties
Dr. Owens has been in practice since 2014, specializing primarily in orthopedic rehab and functional movement in his career. Dr. Owens’ area of expertise is conservative, non-surgical acute and chronic spine and extremity disorders, with a clinical focus on spinal rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation and functional movement. Whether it is back/neck pain, cranky knees, limited shoulder mobility, decreased performance, Dr. Owens utilizes a thorough evaluation and a bevy of treatment protocols to address the issue. He has hundreds of ancillary education hours in functionals movement, soft tissue mobilization, kinesiotaping, extremity adjusting and neurokinetic rehabilitation. Each patient is treated based on individual needs, we do not use a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Special Interests
Dr. Owens is married with one daughter. Dr. Owens currently resides in his hometown of Swedesboro, NJ. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, being active outdoors, exercise and loves to golf. Dr. Owens is very passionate about the health and well being of the animals in our community. Also certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association (IVCA) to specialize in equine and small animal chiropractic, he is frequently traveling throughout the state, either treating his animal clients or volunteering at local animal shelters. Dr. Owens also volunteers his time to riding therapy programs around Gloucester County to keep their horses healthy and comfortable as they help so many people in our community.
